Unfortunately, the hotel was run down, and the room was in a state of disrepair, with a deadbolt that did not work, a broken microwave, a warm refrigerator, and a thermostat-less window unit that could only switch between sweltering and freezing temperatures. The pool area and the water itself were also very cold. All in all, the hotel was not worth the cost nor was it 3.5 stars as advertised.
However, the staff at the hotel were friendly and accommodating, and made the check-in process easy. All in all, the superior service provided by the staff was the only saving grace for the trip.
