This unfortunate situation was compounded by a sign outside the hotel office indicating that it was closed due to Covid-19 at a time when other hotels were still running 24-hour services. Upon arriving at the hotel at midnight, the guest attempted to call the listed phone number for assistance, and although the person on the other end of the line did their best to find the front desk attendant, they were unsuccessful. The guest requested a refund the next day, only to be told that it was nonrefundable.
